What are garage door prices in Ottawa?
Our starting prices run from $100 for a set of rollers to $4,500 for a Better double door, before 13% HST, and a Best double is priced on your measure. Each line is what a standard job of that kind costs before anything extra turns up.
This list covers garage doors and their openers only. A front door, aluminum capping on a door frame or a commercial door has no list price, so each of those is quoted after a measure on site.

Rollers and springs you can spot from the garage floor. The opener parts you can’t.
Springs are the one line your door settles before anyone arrives. With the door closed, look up at the bar across the top of the opening. One coiled torsion spring on it is the single, from $275. Two springs means the pair, from $400, because a two-spring door gets both replaced as a matched set.
Look, and leave it there. A broken spring is a no-touch part: leave the door closed, do not run the opener, and call. If your springs stretch along each side track instead, they are extension springs, with their own spring replacement cost in Ottawa.

New installed doors are priced in three tiers
A new garage door installed by us starts from $1,995 for a Good single and $3,295 for a Good double, before HST. The Best double is priced on your measure. Every other tier has a published starting price.

Pick the tier by the garage behind the door. A detached or unheated garage gets by on Good non-insulated steel. The Better tier adds R-12 insulated steel for $200 more. R-value measures how well the door holds heat, and a heated garage or one with a room above it moves up to Best at up to R-16.
Every installed door price includes the door, tracks, springs and hardware, balanced and tested. Hauling the old door away costs extra, and that fee is written on the quote next to the door price.

No line on the list is parts only. Each one covers the part, the labour to fit it and a 90-day Done-Right guarantee on the work. We add no overtime, evening or weekend surcharge to any job.
A service call starts at $150, and it is free with a repair over $250. A roller set or an opener repair booked on its own, under $250, carries the service call as well. Financing is available on approved credit.

Four things make a job cost more than the list price
A door taller than 7 feet or wider than 16 feet needs a larger spring, and that moves the spring line up.
- High-cycle springs, rated for more open-and-close cycles, last 2 to 5 times longer than standard ones and cost more.
- Frayed cables or flat-spotted rollers found during a spring job get priced as well.
- Best double doors, with a custom size or full-view glass, are priced on your measure.
Lift cables get no list line, because a frayed cable and a cable that has jumped off its drum are different jobs with different cable replacement prices.
Tax adds 13% in Ottawa and 14.975% in Gatineau
Ottawa adds 13% HST to every list price. Gatineau adds 5% GST plus 9.975% QST, 14.975% together. Those rates are the ones the Canada Revenue Agency lists by province. Starting prices stay the same on both sides of the river.

Add the starting prices to price two or more jobs
Add the lines, and a spring pair with a roller set starts from $500. With 13% HST that comes to $565.00 in Ottawa. In Gatineau, GST and QST take it to $574.88.
A Good double door with a new opener installed starts from $3,890 before tax. Springs and rollers drop out of that sum, because a new door comes with its own.
