What does the Done-Right guarantee cover?
It covers our labour and the repair working as it should for 90 days, plus the manufacturer warranty on every part we install. If our work is at fault within that window, we return and fix it at no charge.
The promise is simple. We do the job right the first time, and we put it in writing. That covers a broken spring repair backed by the guarantee, an opener repair and its parts warranty, cables, rollers, and a full door install. No fine print, no fighting over a receipt.
How long is the guarantee, and when does it start?
The 90-day Done-Right labour guarantee starts the day we complete the work. Premium parts carry their own manufacturer warranty that runs much longer, so a covered part failure is still handled after the 90-day labour window closes.
Think of it as two layers. The labour layer is 90 days and covers how the repair was done. The parts layer follows the part itself, which on a premium spring means a bounded limited-lifetime warranty rather than a fixed number of months.
Does the guarantee cover both labour and parts?
Two things are covered: our workmanship for 90 days, and every part we install under its manufacturer warranty. If a spring, opener or roller we fitted fails within its warranty, you are covered for the part and our return labour.
Labour: if the repair is not working right, we come back free
If the work we did is not performing as it should within 90 days, we come back and correct it at no cost, with no service call and no overtime fees, including evenings and weekends. We carry parts on the truck, so most return visits are settled in one trip.
Parts: premium spring and opener warranties (bounded limited-lifetime)
Our premium torsion springs are rated for 10,000 to 20,000 cycles and carry a bounded limited-lifetime parts warranty. What is not covered by the guarantee?
Honest limits keep the promise meaningful. The guarantee covers our work and the parts we install, not new damage, misuse, weather events, or repairs on a door we never touched. We tell you upfront so there are no surprises later.
New damage, abuse, and acts of weather
A car backing into the door, a panel kicked off track, or a door frozen to a concrete slab in an Ottawa cold snap are new events, not faults in our repair, so they fall outside the guarantee. We will absolutely fix them, but as a fresh job at a fair, quoted price.
Repairs to a door we did not service
We can only guarantee what we install. If another company did the last repair, or you supplied the parts yourself, we cannot warranty their work or those components. We will still service the door and back our own portion of the job with the same 90-day promise.
How do I make a guarantee claim?
One phone call. Ring (613) 255-1968, tell us what is happening and roughly when we did the work, and we book a free return visit. We keep a record of every job, so there is no receipt to hunt down.
You can also book a guaranteed same-day repair online and note that it is a warranty visit. Either way a real person, not a call centre, sorts it out. If it is a covered issue, you pay nothing for the return.
How does our guarantee compare to a typical garage door warranty?
